Chinese learning app
The Zhi Book is a web app designed to help students learn Chinese. The app was implemented at a local middle school for beta testing and can be viewed at zhibook.org.
The app's design is based on the teaching style of my middle school Chinese teacher, Mr. Zhi. Users are taught words in the notebook feature and reinforce their practice with translation, comprehension, and match "games". The app is designed to make learning Chinese accessible and fun. Every learning exercise is linked to the PHP database, with a structure that parallels the structure of Mr. Zhi's textbook, Duo Duo Chinese.
The Zhi Book was a competitor in the 2022 Congressional App Challenge.
